Ex-bourbon barrels last used to age Ontario maple syrup for several months. These barrels will add a unique flavor to whatever you age in them. Prior to aging maple syrup, most of the barrels were originally used to age Heaven Hill Bourbon brands.
* Maple syrup sucks the moisture out of the wood of the barrels during the aging process. It is always recommended that maple syrup barrels be swelled prior to filling with liquid.
