Meet the Crew at The County Cooperage

Joe Thomson

Joe is the Founder of The County Cooperage along with his wife Megan. Born and raised in Shelburne, Ontario Joe attended Carlton University where he met Meg.  Joe spent 15 years working in Canadian Public Service before starting The County Cooperage during that time he also renovated and built his own houses. 
When Joe isn’t working, though he’s usually working because his hobby is renovating buildings, you can find him spending time with family or going to a good restaurant.

Bren MacFarlane

Bren is our Operations Manager who was raised in Montreal. Before coming to work with us at The County Cooperage he spent time as a Chef in Nova Scotia, Ottawa and here in The County.
When Bren isn’t at the factory you can usually find him spending time with friends and family, watching the Toronto Blue Jays in the summer or Skiing the winter. Bren will never pass up the opportunity to try out a new brewery, distillery or winery.

Travis Redmond 

Travis is our Warehouse Manager! Born and raised in The County Travis spent eleven years working with The Beer Store in a retail setting as well as implementing a training and shipping management system across Ontario, before coming to The County Cooperage.
When Travis isn’t at the factory he enjoys spending his free time playing guitar, playing video games, reading or going on adventures with his partner Sky and their dog Renfri; camping, hiking or hitting up a local brewery.

Cam Frenken

Cam is our Multi Media Specialist and Web Designer. He is a graduate of The Limerick Institute of Technology in Limerick, Ireland with a BSc in Creative Film and Broadcasting. He has several years of experience in television before coming and joining our team in Cherry Valley.
When he's not working on bringing you amazing content you can usually find him spending time watching a good TV show, keeping active or having a beer.

Keagan Zantingh

Keagan is the youngest member of our team and is our General Labourer. Born and raised in the County Keagan came to work with us in the summer and is continuing to work with us in the afternoons on Co-op.  Before coming to work with us he worked at Mill Creek Farm and is a student at PECI.
When Keagan isn’t working on unloading trailers or slinging barrels onto pallets you can find him on his 4-wheeler going for rides with his friends and playing hockey!
