Our 5L New Oak Barrel is the perfect small-format option for aging spirits, cocktails, vinegars, syrups, and more. Built using traditional cooperage techniques and premium American white oak, this compact barrel delivers rich oak character and accelerated aging—ideal for home use, recipe development, or small-batch projects.

We only utilize new American white oak. This allows for thicker staves compared to other small format barrels on the market that are made with used barrel staves which produce thinner staves. Our new oak thick stave barrels prevent leaks, deter drying out and age better tasting product.
The small barrels are also outfitted with a metal spigot instead of using wooden spigots. Metal spigots are less prone to bacterial infection and leaks while having superior longevity.
Designed with a high surface-area-to-volume ratio, small-format barrels enhances flavour quickly.

At The County Cooperage, we prioritize a seamless shipping experience for our customers. When you order small barrels, they are individually packaged and shipped through reliable parcel providers like UPS, FedEx, or USPS, the choice of which depends on the product and delivery destination.
For orders that exceed six small barrels, they will be securely shipped on a pallet to ensure their safe arrival.
For large barrels, each is shipped individually, but when ordering more than one, they are palletized for delivery, with four or eight being the most cost-effective quantities since eight barrels perfectly fit on a single pallet. We also offer local pickup as a convenient alternative.
